this sounds like the thrust bearing. this bearing pushes the clutchplate free from the flywheel when you apply pressure to the clutch. when it,s worn it will make noises like you describe. if your mechanick confirms this then it,s best to replace it with the whole clutch. check when the engine...

i have never heard of anti freeze hoses this is something new to me. (radiator hoses yes) there may be pressure building due to a slightly blown head gasket,see if you can find bubbles coming up in the cooling system. is the thermostat in the right way up? no leaves in the front of the radiator...

how are we going to work this out if we dont even know which car it could be. basicly you are going to have rent a container and this means going thru a shipping agent. would it make sense to contact them instead? and do you drive on the left or the right?
