White screen doesn't necessarily mean the flex cable is bad... more times than not that is the case but I've had R430's white screen because of a bad mainboard. also had a razr and a couple of other phones do that.

No dice. I found a MA-8512P cable in my junk, and re-ran the driver install. It still comes up with COMM 55 or greater on the port setting. :mad:

"Maasaa" is essentially the same thing as "Martha," it's just passing through the Japanese language barrier. The "Mar" comes out as "Maa" and the "...tha" comes out as "saa", since Japanese doesn't have any "ar" or "th" sounRAB. (Which is why "The World," for example, comes out as "Za Waarudo".)...
