Your sub does not need to be hooked to your head unit, the amp does via rca cables. Hook the rca cables into the low in, and hook speaker/subwoofer cable going from 1 positive and negative channel of the amp to the positive and negative terminals of the sub box. Make sure there is speaker cable...
