    1982 Buick Riviera V8 - when i put it in drive it takes a second ant it kicks in?

    like the tranny switches from park to drive with a delay and quick oomph in to gear. what does this mean. and would this car pass smog?

    2000 dodge dakota 2wh dr wont shift from 1st to 2nd then to d without revving motor

    Have you checked the oil level? take the linkage off, jack the rear of the vehicle up engage gear with the linkage off see if it does the same.. get someone to help so you dont get hurt
