I just bought a 1999 Honda Civic Dx a week ago. It says DOHC VTEC on the side but the engine looks like an SOHC VTEC. It hasn't been swapped. At least not that i know of but the engine is in great shape. Can anyone help me out here??

Ok, the crx is a project car and my dad and I have been working on it and tried to fire it up. I did not fire.and the alternator is not on it and I was wondering if it mattered.
