    How can I make my midi work on Windows 7?

    I've always had a horrible time making my midi work when working with Cakewalk Sonar, but with Windows 7 I just can't find a way around it. Is there something I need to download? a piece of hardware I need to buy? I've probably asked this questions 25 times and nobody's helped me yet. Please!!!!
