    Instead of buying speaker wire, would jumper cables work just as well?

    8 guage jumper cable, that is. I have a jl 13w7 on a jl 1000.1 v2 amp, and will be hooking it all up soon. Just wondering if there is a difference between the kind of copper used in jumper cables compared to "official" speaker wire. Why shouldn't I use the jumper cable? I'm pretty new at all...

    When the recommended enclosure specs for a kicker soloX 18 say Port:150 square in x

    21'', what does that mean? I am building a box for some dude and want the sub to face up with a vent in the front. It will be 10 sq ft. any help or ideas on how to do this would be great. Thanks.
