    what is the furry beige growth on the bottom of my sago palm tree and also on the trunk?

    I just bought an indoor sago tree and notice there is a beige furry growth on the base of the plant and also the trunk. The tree itself is still green and healthy looking. What is this an if its a disease is there a way to cure it or should I not try.
