    does my phone get mobile i.m. for free?

    so i have a Verizon cell phone with unlimited txt. but my dad blocked off all internet connections so i cant purchase anything online or even get online on my phone. but earlier i accidentally hit the i.m. button and it let me in.so if i use it does it charge at all?? plz help me out??
