I think a lot of what that has to do with is still liking music you liked as a kid but recognizing that if you had been an adult when you first heard it you probably would've thought it sucked. I know that's the case with my relationship to 80s pop and hair metal for example.

@Janszoon, I'm beginning to notice. :p About Blink, I think it's a very american genre. That kind of music was never really popular here in Norway at least. I find stuff like NoFX and punk covers of old pop songs quite erabarassing ..
