Afraid the answer to your first question is No. Internet speed is going to depend on a couple of things. First what type of radio you have in your phone. Does it get EDGE? 3G? just 2G? If the phone only has a 2g receiver, it's gonna be slow. Its like using a dial up modem from the 80's...
