Very good point. Hollywood has a tendency to look down on anything that isn't hip, or trendy. So they try to force it on properties, or genres that never were hip, nor needed to be in the first place so that they can 'fit in' with the gratuitous hipsters out there. And apparently, the Smurfs...

I think it's just me but this part of your post seems a tad biased.

I was quite surprised to find Elmer Fudd listed as a villain with Wile Coyote and Yosemite Sam... seeing as they never seemed like villains to me... antagonists perhaps... to the main character, but certainly not evil in any way. Hmm well for my list i'll say them in order worthiest to least...

Because it takes time to make a new network and decent budget TV shows from scratch? Also the fact that they probably want all 26 episodes ready at once probably has something to do with it. These shows are going on weekdays, after all, and they're not about to pad weekday afternoon kid's show...

I used a N72 in the San Francisco area for about 8 months. 1. call quality was good. 2. reception was good. 3. ringers are loud. 4. never really used the camera much but ok for what it is. I thought it was a pretty nice phone. Hope this helps.
