    The Bank Job (2008)

No the London code was 01. In the 80s it became 081 or 071, then later 0181 or 0171, then sense prevailed and became 020 (the 8 & 7 became part of the exchange number).

    Scariest film

I suppose for me was just the ending and that gruesome face..i used to have sleepovers at a friend's house when I was at school and she always put it on and it just scared the crap out of us..we would watch it specifically for that ending! One film that I was convinced was the scariest of all...

Inception - How freakin weird and secretive is this movie

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with the whole Nolan doesn't care about depth or characters. But I guess that is just one of the ways opinion works. I especially disagree with the Fischer character being very thinly sketched. I thought Cillian Murphy did brilliant and he made what possibly...

[Spoilers] Truly stupid moments in film

The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of the King. Frodo is flown to Mount Doom on the back of an eagle to dispose of the Ring. If they'd done that at the start of The Fellowship of the Ring there would have been an awful lot of celluloid / paper / time saved. Enough to save the Planet, probably.

    Chavs in the cinema

With cinemas being so expensive now, the managers need to wise up to the chav problem. People are already borderline not bothering with the cinema due to having it ruined for them, and with it being so expensive are likely just to wait for it on DVD (or download and watch illegally). I go to...

I cant stand watching animals get harmed in films

Oh God! You've put me off watching Atonement now. I can't bear anything like that either - even though I know it's all faked and the animal isn't really hurt - it still upsets me. I can't stand Westerns either with horses galloping at full tilt and falling over. In the old Westerns they had...

What old TV series should be made into films?

Yes, in the 50's ( or 60's) with my Mum's favourite actor, Howard Keel. It's got one or two effective scenes, but isn't a patch on the BBC series of 1981. They tack on a happy hollywood ending.

What benefits are there to using newzbin?

Being a 'VERY' long-time subscriber to Newzbin, I find that it's more a bit of habit than anything else. I find lots of poorly documented listings there (and occasionally post my thinking when I find the REALLY bad 'editor' jobs), but find that many sites (I use nzbmatrix a lot), are not only...

    Films so bad they're good

I love terrible B movies, especially when they've got a well known actor in them. :D House: The tale of, you guessed it, an evil house that terrorises it's occupant and his neighbour, Cheers' George Wendt. It's actually not a totally terrible film compared to most B movies. The scene with...
