The *Dairy Of The Dead * Thread

The format was too limiting. Only the hospital scenes really worked, though the Amish guy was fun.

Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy

What I took from watching it was just how cheaply they tried getting each movie made. Bob Shaye even tried going on the cheap and replacing Robert Englund for number 2, untill he realised the new guy was terrible and they needed Rob. Patricia Arquette's no show in part 4 was down to money it...

    The Hunt for Gollum

I've just watched it. Very good apart from some poor lighting at the start of the Wraith attack. The screen was virtually black for 30 seconRAB and then it improved again. It was much much better than the

    ScreenSelect rentals

Oh, it's not just me who has noticed a difference - BB used to return discs very quickly, and you could normally get about 60-70% of the DVRAB being in your top ten selections. I keep a long list so as not to give them an excuse, and recently they have been sending me titles from the about...

    The Marcus Nelson Murders (Kojak)

I agree that this was one of the best tv movies ever made, along with "Prescription Murder", the original Columbo tv movie. Just like the Koja(c)k movie, the character was nothing like how the character developed.

    Horrors

I watched the Exorcist and spent most of the time laughing, terrible film.

    Hulk 2!

The Hulk was a loser the minute I saw the awful CGI monster. It was laughable and nothing more then a glorified cartoon. Everything from the original Hulk was lost. Even as a grown man, I still get the creeps watching the show, why oh why dont directors realise that CGI is not always best...

most upsetting scene in a movie

Just watched Hard Candy - the castration scene is horrid! Went to see Severance last week as well and that has a fair few nasty scenes in it but when one character loses his leg to a man trap - urgh.

    Silent Hill...

I read about it and it said that most of it was make-up for the scary characters and only some CGI was used. They said they wanted it to look more realistic than CGI (thinking back to the awful Mummy 2)

    Credits and Opening titles.

It can be interesting to learn, eg, who had the job of "moth wrangler" on Silence of the Lambs. Sometimes I stay to get a sense of how SFX teams are composed nowadays.

any XLned or BinTube customers out there?

I am using XLned. I am using the 500kb package since i dont need more speed and its much cheaper than other services at that speed. The good thing is that i am sharing the XLned connections with my brother. Retention isnt that good but sharing + low price is what i need atm. :)
