I think that may require an act of God. Not the "unlocking", but activating it on Verizon. From what I've read here and on some other forums, Verizon will not activate a phone they didn't sell. Sprint is the same way. Sell your Sprint 6700 and get a Verizon 6700.

It is as Lewis mentioned. When it days EDGE or GPRS then you have access to the data network. If it says edge or gprs then you don't either cause A: You haven't signed up for a data plan or B: The data network may be down.
