Code Geass stays original to the end. After one episode of totally not ripping off Evangelion by having our mecha anime protagonist reject his father's plan to bring all people together as one, it goes back to totally not ripping off Death Note by having our protagonist die. Other than that...

But I actually liked the piano tribute to Iron Maiden. With the nuraber of different melodies they have going on at any one time, it sounRAB pretty good transcribed to piano.

I think more people will get involved once you have an example of it up & running. Instead of more planning I think you should just start it up now and see what works & what doesn't and do it that way.
