    help for inflamation

    I used to take Mobic(meloxicam) before my surgery. It's a NSAID. Kinda works likes ibuprofen but stronger, worked good for me.

    burning sensations

    I'v read somewhere where someone got relief by using sunburn lotion. Believe it or not, I tried it and did find some relief by it. Like most say, it pretty much has to do with the nerves.

    Has Back Surgery Relieved Anyone's "Back Pain" or only your "Leg Pain"?

    L4 to S1 fusion in march. Very little pain at times. Doc says the pain I do have is due to breaking the scar tissue and getting the muscles back in form. Still, too early to tell but after 5 months it looks like a success.

    Can I take NSAID's(ibuprofen) after spinal fusion?

    Im 3 months post op from l4-s1. I was told I would have to stop taking NSAID's for a year. The doc said NSAID's is not good for healing. Yesterday, I saw a different doc and he said after 3 months it is ok. What gives? Shannon:wave:

    Not the X-ray results I expected

    Get in an MRI. I had to fight my ins co a few years ago to get one. It showed all the problems I was having which the many x-rays failed to show. To my knowledge, an MRI is usually the best instrument to detect what's going on. Many ins co don't like to give them due to the cost.Good luck.
