Do you mean that film that was the highest grossing independent film of all time? Not exactly a "disaster" And that is actually pretty good - dark, moody and easily comparable to the better comic book adaptations.

I didn't like Avalanche at first either, but the more I listened to it, the more it sucked me in. I think Avalanche is just as good as any of the MGB stuff, and reminRAB me a lot of what MGB was like in the early part of the band's life. I've proudly imported all their albums.

the second film answers some of the philosphical questions from the first....such as who made it, why...etc. Although the ending from the second one confuses me so much! If you get a chance to ahem "find" it on the net or buy it, watch the ending and tell me what you think cos i really dont get...

I really liked the first one... The second one had a lot to live (or die) up to and it just didn't do it for me... but this third one has James Wong and Glen Morgan (from the first but not the second) so it'll definately have more of an X-Files feel to it. That plane crash, first time I ever saw...

Yep, the warbling and possibly the drop-outs are due to the 24 frames per second to PAL 25 frames per second speed-up transfer, and indeed the region 3 dvd has a fantastic soundtrack, no warbling, no drop outs... although the image is somewhat compromised by the 6 repeated frames per second due...

Very true, and by the same token a programme producer is more likely than not to see his/her own creative decisions as being correct (otherwise those decisions would not have been taken in the first place). Having said that, it would be refreshing to hear, once in a while, that they accept that...
