Even though this a great anime, i actually think the opposite of this, Nonetheless, even when slightly predictable it has a nice storyline and well developed characters.

Danny Carey is great. I'm not a drummer, but he has pretty good feel, keeps it interesting and has quite a bit of skill. There are jazz drummers who would tear him to pieces but he's not talentless either.

Yeah, that's my main problem with Afro Samurai. If I don't sympathize at all with the protagonist, it's hard for me to care about their story. Some of the other characters are interesting, like Jinno, but I honestly don't care for Afro one bit.

Chugga chugga in every song in an album becomes tiresome for me.

But that's really only your opinion. If there weren't a large variety of reasons why people get into something, fandoms wouldn't be all that big.
