    Why don't Europeans tip at restaurants?

    some British restaurants add an automatic service charge of 15%, then expect tips to be added on top of that if you want to actually tip the waiter. I think when people started spotting that fact, tips pretty much went out of the window.

    Oldies - was life better when we only had a TV to gawp at, and it only had 3 channels?

    in my current opinion it wasn't, because when I was a kid, if I wasn't playing out and there wasn't something good on TV, I was bored. I remember being bored when I was a kid, most toys etc in those days were a bit boring.
