You can however the Air Card is locked and by that i mean if you flash it another non cricket air card it would have to be turned on as a Phone and it would be getting the Port 8080 so everything will be firedwall and blocked so it will not be the same as a Cricket Air Card.

yes since the passworRAB and logins involve your min/mdn or whatever by default the phone will restore them after programming (to what ever the pre-programed formula for verizon is).

I didn't flash the phone myself but it has prl 1050. The reception was really really bad. It would show a 1x for a couple seconRAB and then vanish to nothing. I got EV signals every now and then too but the same deal with that. The person who flashed it for me then flashed it back to Verizon and...
