    Drugs!

Using cannabis for pulp and fiber would seriously help with 'environmental' factors. MJ did get a bumb rap and looking back at William R. Hurst et. al. combined with racism and fear mongering we can now see that it was quite irrational to ban it (no, I don't smoke weed). If you're going to...

    Gattaca

GATTACA is a good movie, but is a little sterile in parts. All three of the main actors put in great performances. Best quote has to be Xander Berkley's: "For future reference, right handed men don't hold it with their left... just one of those things... " Comedy Gold :D

    The Science Of Sleep

I am watching it at the moment and am really enjoying it. The mixture between surrealism and naturalism is gr8! You don't know (as does the character) if where you are in reality or in his dream. Gael GB is brilliant as this character, different to his character in Babel (the most recent one I...

    Outlander

On seeing the title I thought of the Sean Connery film Outland, which would have been way off. Of Outlander, seems like a cross between 13th Warrior, Beowulf & Pathfinder. Which strangely, all feature Vikings in their story lines.:D Not sure about this, I'd probably put this in the 'watch at...

Remakes you WOULD like to see

I watched Shutter last night and despite the lameass storyline, it genuinley scared me! so much so i had to turn it off (it was late and dark) and will watch the last half hour tonight. Subtitles in "Magnum Force" ITV4

Should the ITV4 Subtitling department be allowed to change the dialogue in films ? I was watching "Magnum Force" with the subtitles on and there was this exchange : Dialogue : "Hi Harry. I haven't seen you in a coons' age !" Subtitles : "Hi Harry. I haven't seen you in ages !" Is this just...

I hate extra narrow widescreen letterbox Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1

I recently watched this movie on TCM, and you can actually see the join all through the movie where the two 4x3 images were spliced together. RTE recently showed this movie in PAN/SCAN and it was funny to watch the black join move from left to right depending on where the action was.

    Trophy Kids channel 4

I missed this, but going by your comments, it sounRAB like the parents are living vicariously through their children. Is that a fair assessment?
