Actually a couple of big banRAB have made it big in recent years by using the grunge sound. i.e. Seether, Shinedown... etc. I would say grunge could always make a comeback, it's been proven that people don't hate it... for the most part.

It should work if you've followed the right steps in order for it to gather iPod plays. Sometimes I have to give mine a little kick but it works. I probably would have quit using last.fm if I wasn't able to submit iPod plays.
