Not a film as such but the series Band of Brothers has some brill war explosions that one where the forest is destroyed as they duck in the dugouts is classic , Battle of Bastogne I think ?
Two different films. Flight 93 was an HBO (or Showtime or some cable station) produced film. "United 93" was intended to be shown in theatres and as some mentioned was named for the United flight 93 from Newark to San Francisco flight.
Dont think I'll be seeing it. maybe one day.
Yes, to a limited degree, only being really familiar with Caught and The Reckless Moment - both fine examples of 'poetic' American film noir. As is usually the way, his foreign language stuff seems to be generally harder to see, although I am ashamed to say I've got a copy of Liebelei and have...
I saw the title & I just KNEW it was going to be about Flight of the Navigator :D
And yes you're right, they should leave it alone.
Although I can guarantee the graphics will look loaRAB better than they did :p
:( Nobody's mentioned the original Haunting
My faves;
The Wicker Man
The Haunting (60's one)
The Thing
Devil Rides Out (it's such a treat to see Chris Lee and Charles Gray being diabolical together :D )
Les Diaboliques (again the original)
The Changeling - especially the seance...
Yes, the 4th will be the last film. Although there's a (possibly direct to dvd?) Puss In Boots prequel being made, too.
The 3rd was pretty rough, which was a shame, because the 2nd, surprisingly, was as good - if not better - than the 1st!
i know that they are more of a distribution company nowadays, but i still do think if you see a film that is "National Lampoon's presents .." you have a certain expectation of what the film will be like, and invariably you're utterly wrong.
I watched a film earlier called "National Lampoon's...
I never saw it, but apparently he made a cinema ad for "Roofworld" when it was first released. I think that's the greatest prominence anything of his has had on the silver screen :( . There's a "download" section "Coming Soon" on http://www.christopherfowler.co.uk/pages/home/home.html - as it...
I agree with that. Out of the three big horror film serial killers - Michael, Jason and Freddy, Michael is the one that comes across as most creepy and menancing. Jason is so-so, and Freddy I find almost funny. Although I think that might be due to the slight underlying comedic element of the...
Normally that's the case - but with Fame the film has literally only just been finished. The print only arrived in the UK yesterday and the one and only screening for reviewers is this lunchtime.
What you have to watch out for are the films that get rated by the BBFC a month or so before...
Why don't you write to him and ask him directly - I'm sure he'll be happy to tell you.
Oh, and be sure to use the phrase "one bit part actor"...
His contact address is available online...
My sister is always watching Disney Channel - Thats So Raven, Suite Life, Lizzie McGuire - grrrrr; i'm hearing the trailer songs ALL THE BLOODY TIME! They seem to be during every single commercial break! The hype is just too much!
