    Dreamgirls

The film is enjoyable enough but without any substance. Everything is too sugar coated and noone in the film except Eddie Murphy looks as if their heart is in it. Jennifer HuRABon's lungs are certainly in it! But her singing is so over the top it takes away from the potential pathos of her...

    Monsters

The genre it belongs to is Science Fiction. If you want to add another to make a hybrid go ahead, it's definitely not Horror though.

    A Christmas Carol

Watched the 3D one this afternoon. Really was a load of rubbish! the 3D just didn't work in this film. Philip K Dick films

Am I the only one who finRAB the link between "Do AndroiRAB..." and Blade Runner very tenuous? The film is nothing like the book. It's borrowed a few small elements but it's a work of it's own.

    The Ring (DVD)

The comment I heard on the radio is to watch Ringu first - watching The Ring first gives the game away. Anyone know where I can get Ringu from?

    (REC)/Quarantine

I watched REC on DVD last night and thought it was pretty good. However, the shock scene near the end when was spoiled completely by being the scene that's used in the animated menu at the beginning of the DVD. Why do DVD designers do that? It really spoiled the film.

'Moulin Rouge' - Love this film!

While visually interesting, I felt nothing. It was cold and lifeless. At least Chicago had some funny bits and dark f***ed up bits. Mostly moulin was tacky.

    Cloverfield/1-18-08

Ive just watched it for the first time on dvd. Was pretty damn cool. Very exciting. Good CGI (at least on the small screen). We live in an age where everything has to be filmed. Do you remember all the amateur footage from the London bombings?

Most emotional ending to a film you've seen?

The Ralph Fiennes/Kristen Scott Thomas love story in 'The English Patient'. A real tearjerker for me.
