Animation can do drama, yes, but it lacks the advantages live-action has when it comes to subtle human expressions and emotions, and other stuff like budget and animation/art quality and consistency. Each medium is advantageous for certain things.

Well, the previous Pound Puppies cartoons were produced by Hanna-Barbera. This one, as far as we know, is not. So if we don't see Cooler, Whopper, Bright Eyes, Howler, Scrounger et al in this series it's not really a surprise.

Very good episode. I liked this a lot. This is one of the best seasons of Family Guy and it's a lot more enjoyable than the previous one and a half.

Oh, trust me, it is. The first movie was a dark, mature tale with loads of atmosphere, wit, and stunning animation. The sequel is a crappy, almost sickeningly bright-colored musical with bargain-bin animation.

After the last two duds, this was a relieving return to form. I'd watch it again, alongside anything from Season 3. It really felt classic. Maybe this was because a new fresh writer handled it.
