yes, it turns off all the radios on the device, but still allows you to use everything else. I'm not 100% sure if you can re-enable just bluetooth, though. Never tried.

My wife uses our phone for the most part but has been bugging me to get a second phone but it wouldn't get much use, mostly when we are both only reachable by cell. It would cost around $30 a month (Verizon Family plan) for a second line, which is more than we can afford for a rarely used phone...
