Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

I'm going to see it on Sunday, and I'd just like to ask those who have seen it so I know what to expect: How long/bad is the part with Dumbledore drinking the potion? It's a bit I'm particularly dreading, partly because I'm not a fan of either of the actors involved, but mainly because I hate...

The British Board Of Film Classification are a bunch of religious hypocrites

The bbfc does public consultations every 4 years and bases it's ratings guidelines on those, and in the last one in June 2009 the 8700 members of the public they surveyed told them they should be stricter on sex references at 12A. And so they are. Link...

    STN goes P2L

I suspect they'll keep it up until it's no longer profitable, possibly pop up under a new name a few months later and start over again.

    Downton Abbey - ITV1

Don't believe everything you read. Remember 90% of everything is nonsense. It was and is against the Iraq war, which is more relevant to nowadays, I think. Re ad breaks. I don't usually mind them as I use the time productively (washing up, making tea, loo break etc), but I did notice them...

    The Quatermass Xperiment

One of my favourite hammer films, think the actor who played the surviving astronaut was amazingly creepy. Dont really mind Donlevy as Quatermass but dont think his performance brings the film down. Quatermass II... not as good but still great to watch.

    Independence Day 2 + 3

Yes, Goldblum neeRAB to get back in the action, he's been in the wilderness since being nestled in the blockbuster bosom in the 1990s. But I'm not endorsing the production of these follow-ups. If they have to happen, might as well have Jeff back for some gravitas.

Diana Vickers on X Factor, bloody awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on now, be kind, she deserves a number one hit and all that extra money from album sales. This way after the Chili Peppers have done suing her arse she might just have enough money left for a Happy Meal. Really, there are rip oRAB and shameless rip oRAB, but that took plagerism to a whole...

    "Prophet Mohammed Lovers"

So they vary on one very specific thing and are exactly the same on everything else. In what they believe and in how they worship. Thanks for clearing that up. Would they inter-marry and the like or do the people tend to "stick to their own"

Late Show with David Letterman (Part 2)

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/news/a194760/leno-retuning-to-1130-on-nbc.html Reports in the US are suggesting that Leno is to return to his old slot at 11.30 (whether this be under the Jay Leno Show or back to The Tonight Show is unclear). It's also thrown Conan's future into doubt. Feel a...
