    When writing in first person, I tend to use "I" a lot. How can I change that?

    You have a choice: either you write in first person and use 'I' a lot, or you write in third person. In third person you can introduce more variation by using the name or a description as well as the pronoun 'he' (or 'she'). This can't be done in first person.

    I rather suspect that guinea fowl won't be able to tell the difference between weeds and your favourite plants.
