i saw all the adverts for this and though great i watch the orig in the cinemea on this date and didn't even know about the remake... when i found out i decided to save my money what's the point we know what will happen and it can't be as good as the original anyway

One of the characters mentions Sisyphus from Greek mythology whose fate is a clue to the film's outcome. I thought it was a very well constructed film which would repay a repeat viewing. Definitely a cut above the usual horror fare.
