well if you're looking for a little bass but not too much...i'd say get one ten inch JBL sub 1000 watt with the JBL 500 watt RMS amp...that should be good for a little to moderate bass.

honestly most people would recommend Kenwood for most beginners and i agree with that....just due to the fact that they've been around a LONG time and have a good rep....however to consider the BEST....each person has their own preferences....and my personal preference is PIONEER due to the fact...
