Don't know much about the Evo, but I've never seen an Android phone that didn't light up and give you a call screen when it started ringing. The issue you are describing I have never heard of. Maybe it's something in the new version of Sense UI...weird.

Get the lg8100 a950 has been known cut in and out on calls check the samy forum under verizon forum. But I recomend the e815 as its a better phone with awesome rf or wait for the lg8300 to come out soon.
