I think the stigma attached to liking this film is unjustified. Good effects, good fictional storyline entwined with real events, good acting (I thought) and very dramatic with a nice soundtrack and a romantic theme. Suits me. No doubt people will pick holes now lol.

Honestly? I've started to take the books and films as seperate things and decide to take the films as 'based on' the books as opposed to a straightforward visual translation of the books because there is so much difference.

I think you're describing indietorrents, they have a no-RIAA/major labels allowed rule. In many cases what people call "obscure" would still be on major labels though, and they're not really about being an archival site. And no, it's not allowed to upload files that aren't found on the iTunes...

I love Shrek too :) Donkey is probably my favourite character too. I also like gingey :) I love the hallelujah wedding sequence and the karaoke bit at the end.
