And yes I will fight to the death! I thought Alien 3 was a perfectly bleak ending to a series that could only end that way. And as far as I'm concerned, it should have been over then.
I'd not read the book, and had no issues with following it. The only bit I asked my g/f (who had read them) was about the archway/Sirus bit. Apparently that's all just as vague and underwhelming in the book - so I guess nothing is lost in translation there.
Actually, from people I know (or have known) who have had some involvement in TV filming, 9 hours for ten minutes screen time actually represents a pretty successful day.

He was phenomenal during the early to mid 80's and was a genuine box office hit maker alongside Arnie and Tom Cruise.It's amazing to think he was only in his early 20's when he made BHC,48 Hrs and Trading Places.
His act wore thin by the 1990's and he didn't seem to have that fire anymore until...
