I downloaded the screener and couldn't understand a word of the dialogue. The sound was awful. I gave up about 30 mins in. I just don't understand why someone would make such a bleak film where nothing happens. Art house film, vanity exercise, or both?

I did think that point myself. I would have expected that Vulcans would have had enough colonies around for there to have been a whole lot more of them left than 10,000. But then if the movie says there's only 10,000 left, I can accept that. After all, if its said on screen, than makes it canon.

They are repeats, and are shown as such on Digiguide. Programmes on BBC4 are not usually given the "r" tag. What you do have to look out for is "new" against the description.

Soapbubbles - I think the cinema ending is shown as part of the alternative endings but only a brief clip is shown and I think it cuts off . :)

Another thread proving that nostalgia is badly flawed. The great - even the good - sitcoms in previous decades were well spaced out. You rarely had 2 great ones showing in the same year. And some that get mentioned as 'great' would have been torn apart as the rubbish they are if the internet...
