Two very good films on C4 tonight

"Do you think this is good this?" "What?" "Looking at stuff". Burst out laughing when I saw In Bruges in the cinema. This is one of my favourite lines ever!! Brendan Gleeson & Colin Farrell are brilliant together IMO

    The Wicker Man remake

I hope you're not wasting your money. I'll wait until it's on tv in a couple of years time and then pass an opinion.

    Great Trailer, Bad Movie

The comedy show Monkey Dust used to do brilliant sketches about the guy who did the voice-overs on those Hollywood trailers. It would show him in ordinary situations, like having dinner with his family or buying a newspaper, and he would say everything in that OTT voice :D Fab trailer Crap film...

Never have I seen such a blatant rip-off. I was shocked to see this advert earlier. They couldn't even try to cover up this copy. Has anybody else noticed this?

Return of the King - Christopher Lee snub

Shorn of much of his power after his defeat, he takes over the Shire, along with Wormtongue, and attempts to destroy it. His attempt is thwarted by the return of the hobbits. Wormtongue stabs him in the back and is promptly killed himself.

What is the most INFLUENTIAL film of the past 15 years?

I'd say in terms of special effects, then Terminator 2 was the most influential... I wouldn't say there has been ONE most influential film in the last 15 years. Films like Pulp Fiction, Jurassic Park, Titanic, Goodfellas, Scream, Die Hard have all affected future film making....

    Dawn of the Dead 2004

    28 Days Later

Just watched it for about the 3rd time on TV. This time I fell in love with that magic music playing whilst they are travelling up the motorway. Did a little net research and am listening to it right now. It's called "An Ending (Ascent)" by Brian Eno and I really recommend it!

    Spiderman 3 (spoiler)

I am not a huge Spiderman fan either as I am a huge Batman fan as well! I just love my superhero films both DC and Marvel. I cant wait for Batman: The Dark Knight next year but I am sure that Spiderman 3 will fill the gap!

    Potc 2

Jack and Elizabeth aren't in love, they're in lust - they're kind of fascinated with each other and clearly there's some chemistry but I'm certain she'll end up with Will. Elizabeth craves freedom and Jack gives her that whilst being married to Will may seem like a bind to her. In the end she'll...

Films that make you weep like a baby? *Spoilers"

I was sat in a indie cinema watching LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL (because Odeon in Oxford refused to show subtitled films at that time -- they also let CROUCHING TIGER go to the indies rather than put it on) and by the end not only was there a tear in my eye, but most of the audience (made up largely of...

    Shrek The Third

Then go and see it. You may or may not love it but at least it would be based on what YOU thought and not what you are told to think.

Films where the bad guys win.

Sorry - but the good guy won in Gladiator. He vanquished his enemy, was proclaimed a public hero and was reunited in Elysium with his family. Granted - it was sad they died horribly in the first place - but after that happened, at the end of the day, Max got his result.
