    3D Avatar vs. Avatar IMAX 3D ?

Went to an IMAX 3D screening of Avatar a few days ago and ended up sitting in the third row because we booked late. It was an amazing experience but definitely would advise sitting further back, the screen is simply too big to take it all in when you're sitting that close. Can't complain...

    hostel

I saw "Hostel" last night and can say that it is pretty gory, however it aint as scary as "Wolf Creek". The storyline of Hostel is, to be honest pretty good, but the whole film seems to be just a "slash and shock the audience" type of film. I've got to say though that I WOULD definiately...

    Mr.Brooks

I think Costner gets a ridiculous amount of stick, at worst his films can be overly sappy. He was great fun as the villain in 3000 Miles To Graceland, and like the rest here, I thought he was very good in this film.

Pirates of the carribbean at world's end.

I just got back from seeing POTC3 and I really enjoyed it but it was a bit boring in the middle bit. I agree with what people have been saying about it being better than the second film but not as good as the first film. It is worth staying untill after the credits for the extra scene!

NIGHTWATCH (not the ewan magregor movie) - SiFi channel - u.k.

I didn't realise it was supposed to be the first part of the trilogy - now the ending makes a little more sense  Not that I particularly care what will happen next... The reason I wanted to see the film was that I was curious about this Russian fantasy film but it was nothing special...

Little things you noticed in movies

I've seen this movie twice this week and only noticed it the 2nd time, and like you it totally distracted me from their conversation. And yes...great minRAB :D Normally I'd agree, but there was no definate branding on the cups that I recognised or what was actually in her cup. It coulda been...

    whats your fav scary movie

It really isn't. TBH I wasn't expecting much, and the way people described it (Blair Witch crossed with Godzilla), it sounded awful. The first 15 minutes are boring and you lose interest, but you quickly see why it's an effective way mislead the audience.

    Nightmare On Elm Street 1-7

The one good thing about Freddy's Revenge is it's the last time Freddy was truly frightening. The movie is a mess and unintentionally hilarious but the tone is correct (maybe a bit too nasty in all honesty).Robert played the character as Wes Craven originally intended. Freddy ripping his head...

Which film has been re-made the quickest?

I think in the 1950s, film studios made a habit of making a version of something that their rivals had done a couple of years before. Of course, I can't think of any examples at the moment, but it was usually adaptations of books.

Whats the best way to experience Blu-Ray??

No, they tolerated it, else the best selling lcRAB would be 28" lcRAB and would be forever more. Why buy more after all. They bought 28" crts for the same reason people buy ford mondeos, they are affordable and other options just are not realistic. Now we live in a world where what would have...

The last time you cried at a film.

Only one scene in one film, and it gets me every time: "Soylent Green" staring "Charlton.Heston. and Edward. G. Robinson." The scene where Edward. G. Robinson character "Sol" goes to the Soylent Building to die! Maybe it's the fact that I know that he was dying as the film was being made. What...

A History Of Horror With Mark Gatiss

Apologies for posting positively about the BBC's output as a whole. ;-) I didn't mean to favour or to initiate petty argument about one channel above another: my point was about recognising the excellence of the Gatiss prog and the BBC overall.

    Medical Leave in PA

Thanks so much for your response - I have been thinking the same thing. Just an update: Today I am on my way to work, felt very uneasy during the whole ride to work feeling very queasy and nervous. I go to work and nobody is speaking to me, I think to myself this is not a good idea at all...
