You've got to remember the 1987 movie was produced by Cannon films - responsible for B movies such as Death Wish 3 and 4,and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. No way could that company afford decent special effects,which is why there was no Orko,Battlecat and not much Eternia as well as other popular...

Has anybody even considered that 'Happy Feet' is a great film???? All I have seen so far is rave reviews for it, maybe explain why people are going to see it?

You aren't making any sense to me. You can't zoom a 2.35 to 16:9 without cutting off the sides, its simply impossible. If you don't cut off the sides you'd have to squash the picture from the sides. Bluray was made for 16:9 from the start, it would never be coded for 4:3 hard coded bars wide...
