i'm not referring to songs or musicals, just referring to film scores eg soundtrack for jaws by john williams enhanced the film greatly whereas the soundtrack for harry potter, just ruins the film entirely i really wish dvd's gave us the option of switching off the music :)

I think American Beauty is pretty trite to be honest. Ang Lee's similarly themed The Ice Storm is miles better. Gorgeous cinematography though I'll grant you.

A thought just occurred to me. As they are releasing the 1997 movie 'Titanic' in 3D in 2012 to mark 100 years since the tragedy; will they be adding box office profits to the profits of the original release or will it be counted as its own film. Slightly annoyed that Avatar and Toy Story 3...

i watched half of this before falling asleep, i was very tire though it, wasn't a film problem, i will be watching it again tonight though hopefully awake this time :)

Both films were rated 18 certificates and so I would imagine that they will be shown at some stage probably after 10.00pm and hopefully without cuts. Maybe one of the channels will have a late night horror season. I'd enjoy watching something like that.
