Community Thread / Tips and Questions

If you want a short read, and a fantastic read, at that, read Night by Elie Wiesel. It's his experience in the holocaust and how he beings losing faith in God because of what happens. It's depressing, but a good read.

Does God still speak to mankind?

If God wasent going to bother with us then why would he have even created that spark? why would he make something and then turn his back on it? It dosent matter what we are like if he cared about that he would have made us better.

Could it be Final Cut, starring Jude Law, Sadie Frost and Ray Winstone ??? 1999 though, not 2005. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162958/ It's the companion-piece to Love Honour and Obey, by the same writers/directors.

    Evolution versus Creationism

You realize that everything you say above is nothing more than the party line and is assumed to be right today but can neither be proven or relied upon as factual. And even by your own rules, these so called facts are different than they were 10 years ago and will change and adjust again...

    Red Dwarf The Movie

Exactly. They could have made the movie already. But they (quite rightly) refuse to accept American money with strings attached. It would not result in the film us Dwarfers would want to see at all. I would not hold out much hope of truly enjoying such a movie that had been hollywood-ised or...

    The price of BluRay players

IIRC the Tevion is a clone of the Curtis in which case both discs of Snow White are known to be a problem aswell as The Prisoner Bluray set , although rather strangely it's one of the dvd's in that set rather than a Bluray that won't play

    Going Cinema Alone

The first time I saw Zodiac on my own there were Americans behind me - I don't know if one of them was blind or deaf or old but some of the film was explained by her companion to her verbatim - when it got to the bit where Jake Gyllenhaal's character visited RD Junior's character on the...

Pirates of the carribbean at world's end.

Just trying to save the confusion about the ending of the film - the curse has not been lifted off of Will, but he is returning to land for a day which is part of the curse. He is allowed one day on land every 10 years. That is why Davey Jones (in the second and third films) couldn't make "port"...

    Varicose Veins

I don't think they even strip veins anymore. They have come up with a new procedure called vnus closure. It closes the varicoise veins and the blood finds new avenues to flow. I had it done in both of my legs and then sclethropy (sp) twice. It really helped my legs. I still have some veins...
