Can male actors show 'love' for each other without being 'gay'?

Interesting article on Hollywood afraid to make films where the lead male characters can show true feelings without having to go down the 'gay' route. I'm not sure this is strictly true but in the office couldn't come up with any films whereby male characters show feelings unless wrapped up in...

Films you outright refuse to see

I do not like American 'teen' comedies and refuse to watch them. (Although there's always the exception to the rule.. laughed so much at Dude Where's My Car - after being forced to watch it by my family - that I bought the DVD.. so much for my self imposed 'rules' :o )

help with name of film please

A bit of a long shot but you never know I'm trying to find out the name of a film I saw on TV when I was young (1970ish) It was made in the 40's/50's (I think) and was a thriller. It was about a man who hired a (some) hitman to kill his wife. She is in a wheelchair and is living on the top...

A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints. The guy in the film Ditto played by (Robert Downey Jr) is telling his story about when he was a teenager, not sure if its what your looking for but I really enjoyed it. Its based on a true story also. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZDXDvlpu6I

Can anyone recommend me a movie?

Try Black Water, more realistic than Rogue, but not as good as Rogue. Still worth seeing though.

    scumbag kids in the cinema

Wait a minute, the ONLY two films?? Youve only been to the cinema twice? Lol, less. Not totally ruled out, eh? Con: No huge ace screen. Pro: Whiff making without quarms.

    Hot Fuzz

Just been to see it. Itwas filmed in my home town of Wells, Somerset, so was great to finally get around to seeing it on screen. Great film, always been a big fan of Spaced, and loved Shaun of the Dead. Hope they make a lot more movies with this partnership as well :)

    Film genres

I like; Drama's/ Thrillers Comedies and sometimes horrors. I used to love horror films when I was younger but now I'm over eighteen they just don't seem fun anymore! I'm not particularly keen on action films. The only one I liked was 'Face Off'.

The Time Traveler's Wife *14th August*

It was ... 'nice'. I enjoyed it (as did Mrs Watcher), but I don't think I'll watch it again. I thought Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams were both good, understated performances. Not my usual thing, but I'd give it 7/10

    The Strangers

I want to see this, but at the same time I don't. I'm terrified of masks, and the trailer for it scares me too. I think I'll have to watch it at home, I can hide then :D

    The Simpsons Movie Vs Transformers

I have seen both these films and really enjoyed them both - for very different reasons. This weekend is probably the first real "box office battle" of the summer where two big films have gone up against each other. The Simpsons will probably win (due to the wider appeal) but how close will it...

Best sequence/s in a film ever!

Ronin: Car chase around Paris with De Niro driving. Star Wars AOTC: First scene in which you see the Clone Army and realise its the republic army from later films. Goodfellas:As far back as I remember, I always wanted to be a gangster. When De Niro dares Christopher Walken to blow his brains...

    Best Movie Opening Sequence...

I know it probably lowers the tone, but the pre-credit sequence in The World Is Not Enough. The speedboat chase along the Thames is quality stuff if only for it's sheer ridiculousness. It's also the longest Bond opening sequence.
