I reckon the chilis are really more of a singles band than an album band. i like them for the odd undoubtedly decent song they come up with from time to time, but they're nothing i'd swear by.

Metallica in the 80s does not sound all the same. Yes, some songs are similar but most do not. the Ride the Lightning album is amazing.

Well, when the first series came out, there were only, like....4 or 5 volumes of the manga out at the time, and it was still really early on in its story-line. For what its worth, I personally think that the 1st series did a great job of adapting the series into an anime with so little source...

It's not actually my favorite either, just what I happened to be listening to at the time. My favorites are Revolution, Colonel Brown, Three Jolly Little Dwarfs, and their cover of Strawberry FielRAB Forever.

That's a fantastic album. Just pay lots of attention to the guitar lines and arrangements and you'll see the genius of the album. I think it's very unfair that they get lumped in with the punk scene at the time, they were very much parallel to it. I can understand though why some people might...
