    Surrogates

Average film.. Its not too long at 1hour28minutes.. leave your brain at the door and its not too bad. Some interesting pararels with how society is headed in the real world but doesnt do enough with it. I thought the effects on 'younger' Bruce willis were excellent.

What are your top 5 horror movies?

House of Wax was a brilliant film, let down only by the appearance of Paris Hilton. One of the scariest '15' rated films I've seen in ages. I watched the full uncut Last House on the Left the other day. A real classic of the horror genre. I definitely recommend the 3-Disc Ultimate Edition DVD...

Who should be the next James Bond?

No he wasn't. But don't let the truth spoil your little false rumour about Fleming and Broccoli insisting Bond must be played by a Briton will you? He was, and still is, Australian. He has never been British. Pierce Brosnan was, and still is, from the Republic of Ireland. James Brolin and John...

Remakes or Originals - better or worse

The original is usually the greatest, but sometimes a remake can at least be as enjoyable as the original. I've a soft spot for the version of To Be Or Not To Be with Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft, and the version of The 39 Steps with Kenneth More, just because both films are great fun to watch...

    Movies that are unintentionally hilarious

Street Fighter. Hilarious film. Takes some skill to miscast *every single person*, and the notion of an invisible speedboat that leaves a 40ft wake behind it is hilarious. Apparently coming to Blu-ray shortly. Phazer

    Downton Abbey - ITV1

Adverts are very intrusive especially when they appear every five minutes interspersed with trailers for inferior rubbish, its a very valid complaint when they spoil the flow of a drama, while i had my misconceptions about Downton Abbey i can say it would have been more enjoyable had it not...

Anyone Seen A Movie In A US Cinema?

Years ago I went to see a Bruce Lee double bill of "fist of fury" and "way of the dragon" at a British cinema and the auditorium was packed out with over 500 people cheering on Bruce and booing at the villains. I will never forget that night. The cinema actually shook with the stamping of feet...
