Call from BEV to "inventory" my receivers

Hey, I think how Bell handles this is absurd, but I don't have a big problem with them in a general sense making calls to ensure things are ok. Now CSRs making calls know so little about how things work is part of the problem. Cutting people's accounts after one call and it not being returned...

Call from BEV to "inventory" my receivers

So you should be slamming Videotron for removing the benefit to its competitors re: cottage policy. Bell needs to be more aggressive with pirates, yes. But your post implies that somehow they receive some benefit with their current 'security'.

ExpressVu and NHL Blackouts - What Gives?

Only blackouts on TSN are the regional Leafs games.

ExpressVu and NHL Blackouts - What Gives?

NHL blackout rules and format are basically the same as NBA and MLB. Not like NHL is doing something that other leagues aren't doing.

    summer only cottage package

Best bet is to purchase a used receiver from someone reliable so that you don't have a contract. That way you can stop programming without penalty at the end of the summer. It is likely that you would have to pay for your install though (or do it yourself).

NHL Center Ice 2008-09 and Bell "TVonline" discussion

Techically, the "local pay per view" games aren't out of market :)

HDNET's Programming comes to ExpressVu (PPV)

All PPV is overpriced. 90 minute movie for $4 or $5. Boxing for 50 to 100. Going by that standard $6 for what 3-5 hours of HD Programming isn't outrageous. As for a cash grab .. let's say 1000 people a week order it and that would be on the very high side going by %'s. Normally, the...

Bell gave me a credit and took it away!

Bell is horrid when it comes to accurately applying credits. This type of thing has been going on for years. I know people that have been screwed out of a couple hundred dollars in credits.

NHL Centre Ice for 2007/08 on BEV

Because TSN pays top dollar for National rights. SNET did not. NHL has same blackout rules as NBA and extremely similar to MLB.

Leaving ExpressVu or got a Rant then post it here!

Totally an unfair spin. EVU gives you 6 consecutive months to use with the timing at your descretion.

2007 MLB Extra Innings on BEV

Can NHL CI blackout ABC NHL games in CI? Well, firstly NHL hasn't been on ABC in three years. Secondly, do all games on VS. appear in NHLCI? Nope. Why not? But those are US nationally televised games. Using your logic those are all in NHLCI. Sorry they aren't.

    2007 NFL Sunday Ticket information

EVU has 3 MLB EI HD on 1 transponder. Even when only 2 are being used at one time and the third one has no game, the bitrate and PQ is the same as if there were 3 games on at the same time.

    2007 NFL Sunday Ticket information

Not sure about that. Directv does that and they got a lot of negative feedback and gave out a lot of FREE NFL ST HD PACKs last year.

HDNET's Programming comes to ExpressVu (PPV)

Looks like a great way to use HD PPV rather than looping same movie over and over.

    Bev Testing MPEG4

Part of Bell's stragic error was not selling ALL 20" dishes with 2 lnbs and a sw21 switch or two. I mean that means pain in ass for people to upgrade in the future again. And no one can tell me they were prepared for the 3lnb dish upgrade once 72.5 is online in a couple years.
