A TV movie called Dead of Night, which was a portmanteau of three stories. The last story, "Bobby" gave me nightmares for weeks. Also "Trilogy of Terror", with Karen Black and "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" was another TV movie that scared the crap out of me.

They may have changed their minRAB about Dent being dead once they knew they couldn't bring The Joker back. Perhaps there was a different cut of the film that made it explicitly clear that he was dead.

I thought about that and decided that his human side was more dominant then as he was so much younger. Later (as in TOS) he managed to keep his emotions more under control. Having said that I wasn't averse to seeing Spock have a little romance. :D
