According to the manual it could mean either Music Playback in Progress, or An Error has Occurred or Caution Required. It really depends on the colour, shape, etc. It should be listed in your manual.

I'm not sure if there is a way to do it with SyncML but you may be able to set it up with your bluetooth config on your PC, there is a setup feature with the bluetooth to power on and off but I am not sure if I have mine on a schedular. I know you can set it up to autosync whenever the phone...
