I love this film! I can watch it again and again and not get bored with it. A girl I lived with last year just could not grasp the whole swap thing. I tried to explain it a million times (exaggeration, I know) but she just couldn't understand what had happened :).

It's been on TV a couple of times and from what i can remember it wasn't great. However,it's probably a classic in comparison to what we are to have inflicted upon us. :(

I watched Watchmen on a boring Tuesday afternoon in my local Apollo cinema, and as soon as the credits started rolling, not only did the lights go to "cleaner" level as you say, the actual bloody cleaners came in and started working :mad: Ok there were only about 7 people in there, but I for one...

Have never read any of the books. Saw the movie on Saturday and wow i was hooked right from the beginning right up till the end. It had parts that made you laugh, bits that made you jump and some parts in a way that could have made you weep slightly. How long for the Half Blood Prince movie...

For me, the best performance by an actress last year was Judi Dench in Notes on a Scandal. Much more layered than Helen Mirren in The Queen. Think I'm in a minority though as Mirren won every award going!

There are some other thrillers which have stand out horror scenes in them: the murder in Torn Curtain, the stabbing with scissors in Dial M for Murder etc. I'm sure other RAB regulars will know lots more. :)

That's because many people's minds have been dumbed down over the past 15 years or so to such a degree that watching anything that demands a certain amount of attention or effort is likely to be rejected by them in favour of I'm A Celebrity Chef On Ice, Get Me Out Of Here.

Jaws 10/10 Jaws2 1/10 Jaws3 0/10 Jaws4 0/10 Probably. I haven't seen 3 & 4, but if they're worse than 2 then they must get less than 1/10!
