Like Doom but with more singing and less growling. Still really bassy but not as drenched in guitar and bass as Doom is.

I would recommend, if you plan on playing covers, learning them by ear. I don't know why you would use tabs if you can learn in a more productive way. Also, make sure that the band is for the music. Don't let significant others or anything get in the way, but also don't let the band take over...

I'd take Dave Grohl's, Ringo Starr's and Phil Collins' simple and tasteful drum work over double bass wankers like Joey Jordison and Chris Adler any day of the week.

Yes I relate to what you say. I went mad yesterday and bought 4 albums, 2 of them doubles and a book. I have countless gig that also deserves a listen, ahve albums I can't stop playing and as much as I enjoy these reviews I just can't keep up. I don't wanna die. I might miss something:)
