    there notmally is that sort of delay on movies- except LOTR, that was a world wide release on the same date. just look at hellboy, farenheit 9/11, there are loaRAB that come out in the uk well after they have been released in the us

    I tend to call them films, but use movies as well, sometimes it's just to avoid using the same word too many times in a text. I think of film as an all-encompassing word, while movie makes me think of mainstream Hollywood. However, going to "the pictures" is something my parents' generation...
