I've just seen the film and I agree it is the best film I've seen in ages. I think the film could suffer from the bandwagonesque media love-in. It is definitely not a rom-com and is a heavy film that not everyone will appreciate.

I have a gut feeling it won't happen.

My friend went to a theatre showing films and the film that they were showing had the music and background stuff playing but no speech. In the end they rolled up the screen and someone had stolen the centre channel speaker. The ushers saw the person doing it but thought he was a DJ removing gear :s

Have any of you read the short story it was based on? Needless to say it is VERY short. Verhoeven 'expanded' on it somewhat so a remake could go any way, really... ...unless they remake Verhoeven's film.

That was a really good episode last night, mainly because everyone contributed and no-one took over. There wasn't a spell of poor jokes and everything fitted in perfectly. All the guests worked well. And you had to feel for Dara :D
